Process optimisation meets customer experience: umdasch The Store Makers and shopreme at EuroCIS 2025

A well-designed customer journey takes into account the interaction between analogue and digital touchpoints. The latter have long since become more than just complementary solutions - they are changing the way retailers design their processes. This was impressively demonstrated at EuroCIS 2025, where umdasch The Store Makers and shopreme jointly presented solutions that increase in-store efficiency while improving the shopping experience.
This year, EuroCIS once again proved its position as the leading trade fair for retail technology in Europe. Over the three days of the show, more than 14,000 visitors gained insights into current trends and the digital future of the retail industry. This year, umdasch The Store Makers, together with their partner shopreme, once again presented their solutions for managing digital touchpoints and improving the shopping experience at the point of sale, as well as jointly developed self-checkout solutions.
Visitors to the stand were able to experience and test various digital solutions on the spot. The range of possibilities included numerous hardware and software solutions. The digital retail specialists from umdasch presented electronic shelf labelling, a universal digital information stand, digital signage solutions and the umdasch eXperience Platform, inviting visitors to learn more about how networking at the point of sale can increase efficiency.
The combined umdasch and shopreme product range included the matrix self-checkout kiosk, Scan & Go solutions for both customer devices and hand-held scanners, and new systems such as snap cart (Smart Shopping Cart), which was presented for the first time at EuroCIS. The applications were complemented by the vector Exit-Gate, which acts as a physical endpoint to provide a seamless checkout process with peace of mind for retailers and consumers.
‘EuroCIS offers us the ideal platform to show how digital touchpoints in stores not only enrich the shopping experience, but also solve specific operational challenges - such as the increasing shortage of staff or the growing complexity of digital systems,’ explains Bernd Albl, Managing Director Digital Solutions at umdasch The Store Makers.

Focus on omnichannel & holistic store concepts
The focus of umdasch The Store Makers’ and shopreme’s presence at the show was on the interplay between hardware solutions and digital solutions, including touchpoint management software and the self-checkout ecosystem. Visitors were able to see how software, hardware and store design can be combined to create a holistic shopping experience.
‘Our aim is to offer retailers a complete solution - from digital infrastructure, checkout and shopfitting elements for key impulse sales to the essential in-store communications that make up a successful customer journey. This creates clear added value for retailers from a single source,’ says Michaela Drage, Director Solution Development at umdasch The Store Makers.

Florian Burgstaller, CEO of shopreme, also emphasises the importance of the partnership: ‘The close cooperation with the Store Makers and their decades of industry know-how enables us to optimally integrate our comprehensive ecosystem into the physical store.’
EuroCIS 2025 has confirmed that versatile digital solutions and self-checkout are among the most important developments in retail. The collaboration between umdasch The Store Makers and shopreme shows how integrated digital concepts can meet customer expectations while making retail processes much more efficient.
