Sustainable business is not a contradiction
Our finances are part of our sustainability strategy. Because sustainable economics also mean dealing in a forward-looking and careful manner with our financial resources, in order to secure the success and continued existence of the company.
At the same time the finances are a strong lever to direct the company towards a climate-friendly future. In future we aim to strengthen still further investments in projects and measures which reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Equity ratio 2022
Financial strategic growth with our own funds – that is the focus of the Umdasch Group. For us, an equity ratio which remains constant as far as possible over the years represents stability and safety.

Eco-efficient investments 2022
Each new investment by the Store Makers at umdasch is evaluated according to sustainability aspects. Nowadays more than 33,5 percent of all investments in the Umdasch Concern contribute to a more sustainable future.

Eco-efficient investments
Careful and well-considered handing of finances can secure the success of a company, promote innovation and at the same time encourage a sustainable future. Sustainable investments are those which have positive effects in both the short and the long term for employee protection and health, for the CO2 footprint and for the continuation and strength of our company.
Since the beginning of 2022, all relevant investments at umdasch are examined for their eco-efficiency before implementation. That creates a broad awareness for sustainability and introduces the course-setting for thoroughly sustainable business activities and investments.
In 2022 it was possible to ascribe a positive ecological effect to 33,5 percent of all investments across the entire Umdasch Group.
Investing in the future
Investing in new production facilities and machinery that meets the latest standards, in renewable energy and the expansion or renovation of existing buildings are examples of investments which make us bigger, more competitive, more modern and more environmentally friendly!
A few examples from our company:
✔ Purchase of green electricity and investments in photovoltaic systems
✔ Reducing the use of gas as a fossil fuel and replacing it with district heating or alternative plant technologies
✔ LED lighting in offices and on company premises

umdasch acquires an interest in Madosan
The Store Makers at umdasch acquired the majority shares in the Turkish shopfitting specialists Madosan in Bursa, a major metropolis some two hours’ drive south of Istanbul.
