umdasch takes over the Croatian shopfitter ATT Furnishing
The Austrian Umdasch Shopfitting Group is taking over ATT Furnishing, a company located in Zagreb, Croatia. With this corporate acquisition Umdasch Shopfitting will strengthen its competence in the fitting out of international retail brands in the luxury segment.
At the end of 2017 Umdasch Shopfitting will be taking over all shares in the Croatian shopfitting company ATT opremanje interijera d.o.o. as well as its Serbian subsidiary company ATT Interijeri d.o.o. Founded in 2009 by Ivan Tvrdeić and his wife Davorka, the company has been in the ownership of the family since that date and is regarded as one of the most prestigious suppliers of furnishings for luxury retail brands. Since its founding ATT has impressed with its steady growth course and its outstanding position as regards craftsmanship.
The company employs about 60 staff members at two locations: Zagreb in Croatia and Belgrade in Serbia. There ATT realises integral shopfitting solutions from value engineering to international project management in cooperation with famous international architects and designers. The products are delivered and assembled worldwide. Wood, metal, stainless steel, stone and glass are handled and processed in the company’s own manufacturing workshops in Zagreb; they also have an assembly unit in Belgrade.
The company recently achieved revenues in the single-digit million euro range. It was agreed that the purchase price would remain confidential.
The ideal match
The Umdasch Shopfitting Group will be extending both its market access and its production network through this corporate acquisition. “The customer portfolio and the production possibilities of this luxury manufacturer are an ideal match for the growth strategy of Umdasch Shopfitting in the Premium and Travel Retail sector,” explains Silvio Kirchmair, CEO of the Umdasch Shopfitting Group.
The previous owners Ivan and Davorka Tvrdeić are convinced that they have found an ideal purchaser in Umdasch Shopfitting: “Umdasch Shopfitting is a family firm, just as we were until today. Our values fit together perfectly. We have a good feeling about handing over our company to Umdasch.”
The integration in Umdasch Shopfitting
ATT Furnishing will be integrated into the Premium Retail Division and will be led in future by the previous ATT manager, Kruno Filipovic, and Roman Fußthaler as Managing Directors. Roman Fußthaler comes from Austria and has worked for Umdasch for some twenty years, over five of which have been as the head of the Premium Division, which is controlled from Oxford (UK). Among the customers of this Division are Christian Dior, Roja Dove, Ferrari, Nike, Etro, De Beers and others, as well as numerous travel retail operators at international airports like the Dufry Group and Dubai Airport. The Division has also created customer experience stores for the Victoria & Albert and Tate Modern, and international luxury department stores. The company recently succeeded in winning over Harrods, the world famous department store, as a customer. The first project to be implemented was the shopfitting in the Roastery & Bake Hall as part of the new design for the Food Halls and a wider reconstruction plan for the entire store in London, Knightsbridge, over several years.
